Summary
Every year, millions of people lead lives that are trapped in an addictive cycle of one form or another. These choices and behavioral patterns then become self-defeating strongholds that negatively impact not only the individual, but also marriages, families, churches, and even entire communities. This workshop will assist professional and ministry-related counselors in working with clients who struggle with addictions. Both therapeutic and theological implications will be discussed.

Learning Objectives
Participants will:
1. Integrate both a neurological and theological perspective into understanding the stages of the addictive cycle
2. Develop Biblically-sound and therapeutic strategies for engaging clients who want to break free of addictive strongholds
3. Incorporate four keys related to recovery in the counseling process, along with the progressive steps of transformation and renewal
